Task
Ekselence is not just another ice-cream. It is a truly luxurious dessert which delivers an outstanding gastronomical pleasure of taste. The three new flavours are positioned as true pieces of art and each of them is created by Riga's best chefs: Janis Sokolovskis (restaurant Riviera), Henrihs Erhards (HE's restaurant), Liene Tomsone (confectionery Kukotava). The task was to introduce the new products to the target audience and to strenghten their loyality in an interactive way.
Solution
We created a website www.desertaklase.lv that reflected the spirit of Ekselence ice cream and at the same time engaged people to participate in competiton #desertaklase. It inspired food lovers to share their kitchen triumphs for a chance to win the oppurtunity to participate in the expert master classes hosted by three Ekselence chefs or to win delicious prizes. The site gave users the ability to share their passion for desserts, by uploading their food photos directly or via Instagram by simply adding a #desertaklase hashtag.
As a result we had 156 participants and almost 5000 votes from the visitors. In one month time the site was visited more than 10 000 times with 35% returning visitors. 30 people received the invitations to the master classes which they received with great joy.
